Terror Comes to Town.
Forensic animal expert Annie Montgomery was trying to forget her hometown and the people who tormented her into leaving. Then she is called back to help them with a problem that she is uniquely equipped to handle.
Annie also has to battle her feelings for the sheriff who broke her heart, the mother who had all but abandoned her, and the woman who stole her love from her.
She is asked to identify a mysterious animal that is terrorizing the town and killing some of the citizens. She must deal with inexperienced bounty hunters and find out what kind of animal is causing the horrific and disgusting deaths. When she finally identifies the animal, she and the sheriff can't tell the people of the town. The truth is too terrible and unbelievable.

They are forced to pull together and act as a team while they wait for rescue and must face the fact that nobody is aware that they are lost in the mountains without hope of soon being found.
As they are picked off one-by-one, they devise a bold plan to try to defeat the sasquatch and save themselves.
